...i found the challenge of completing 24 pages just for the sake of 24 pages kind of boring.
So instead I challenged myself to complete, in 24 hours, 8 really good pages. It didn't quite work out but I did get 7 pages that I really like. Imma going to finish the the 8th, and final, page and ink the whole thing next weekend. It most likely will be a mini.

So here's a drawing I did inspired by some John Buscema Silver Surfer comics.

But I have been drawing and working on comics and stuff. Here's some character sketches for a story I'm trying to get worked out.

FOLK5 is nearly done...
so here's another drawing

not all that original but whatevers.
I've also been messing around (doing tons of portraits from magazines) with a sumi brush and ink

i think I'll fer sure be doing some more stuff with that.

...that what's on the cover (or how the cover was printed) has exactly jack-shit to do with whether or not a comic book is an "art object."

Also, I owe some people some drawings but I'm having a harder time getting them done than I thought I would. So please be patient dear livejournal friends.

Folk #4 is 90% done. The best thing I've ever done? maybe. I'm also considering printing it up with 11x17 paper so I don't have to screwaround resizing it on photoshop (i was inspired by great big comic by sach ). Is it still a mini comic if it's bigger than a standard sized comic?

But if ya cain't wait for FOLK #4... you can always get
